- Be careful who you trust online.
No matter how long you chat with the person
online, remember they are always stranger and they might not be who they said
they are.
- Meeting someone who you only keep in touch online is dangerous.
If you want to meet someone you knew online,
remember to tell your parents or career and bring them along and meet at public
area on day time for your own safety. You will never know what will happen when
meet a person you only knew online.
- Stay in charge in chat.
Keep your personal information secret online
even people if people ask for it. Giving out your information simply will make
you vulnerable.
- Look after each other.
Respect your friend and don’t simply give out
their information online as it could put them at risk.
- Think about your user name or ‘handle’.
Use nickname that is not going to attract wrong
type of attention but not your real name.
- Learn how to block another player.
Block peoples who is behaving badly and
annoying you so you don’t hear from them again.
- Kick someone out of the game if they are making you feel uncomfortable.
- Disguise your voice by using voice mask if there is voice chat on the game and be careful using voice chat.
Make your sound different and remember you are
talking to strangers. Keep safe and don’t give your personal information while
talking to them.
- Learn how to report another user.
Report people who make you feel uncomfortable,
by harassing you for personal information to the games provider.
- Keep a record.
Keep a record and key information. It’s easier
to explain a problem if you can show it.
